A standout basketball player and 1000 point scorer at Waterville Senior High School, Margie was named to the 1982 Bangor Daily News 2nd Team All State before continuing her career at the University of New Hampshire. In Durham, Arnold was a three year letter winner for the Wildcats, and was also a member of the UNH women’s soccer team her senior year.
