A four time Bangor Daily News All State performer at Cony High School, Julie continued her career at the University of Maine where she helped lead the Black Bears to the 2004 America East Championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament. She then joined the coaching staff at Bowdoin College for three years, before landing at the United States Naval Academy for four seasons. Julie then became the head coach for Colby College, leading the Mules for six seasons from 2011-2016.
